Getting in Shape: Day 8
Day 8: Stretch it Out

I want to make sure I am going about all this in the right way. I have a tendency to go from 0 to 100 overnight. With exercise, I don't want to push myself to injury. I also don't want to fall into the trap where I tell myself "I am going to take a rest day" even when I don't really need one. What usually happens is one rest day turns to two and then a month has gone by and then a year.
One of the ways I hope to combat this is by taking active rest. Still doing some activity but that activity is pretty light. It's resting, but still keeping the habit in place. So with all that said, today I did some yoga.
I was just going to do one flow, but for whatever reason Apple fitness just ended my workout 🤷. This is the reason I did another short one. It felt pretty good to stretch out my body. I was not the most graceful human on the planet with it, but it was nice to just have some extended stretching. Anyway, that's day 8 in the bag! I am proud that I have now made it through a weekend without breaking the habit.
