I'm Not in Shape

I have always struggled with my weight. Like so many people, I was not gifted with naturally high metabolism. Nor, did I develop good habits as a child or as an adult. This has led to years of constant ups and downs in my weight and changes in my body. As I get older, I have lost a bit of the infatuation of having a "ripped bod". Rather, my desired is to be healthy so I can enjoy traveling, hiking, and so many other things. I want to be in good health to enjoy time with my wife and my family. Β So, here is the problem statement I want to address: "I'm not in a healthy state to enjoy life the way I want".

The Plan

This is where I will be updating this as I go. Right now the plan is to start. I know it sounds silly, but I fall into the trap a lot of planning so much that I never start because I am tired from planning. So the first big milestone is to start. Once I build a good rhythm of just having some activity, then I will start making some longer term exercise plans and goals. I'm thinking... running a 5k, doing a long backpacking trip, etc. So for now, join me on this journey as I just figure it out.
